Getting Back on Track
FALLING OFF and Getting Back On Track
After getting off track February 1st, I have found it super hard to get back into my old/new routine. Maybe you can relate and understand that sometimes we do not always stick to our goals… January is a tough month, but with ruining my sobriety from alcohol after almost a year, getting into the gym and dieting, I really feel like I have lost all hope. So, today will be my first day back at the gym after almost one full month – O U C H! I am writing this blog to let you know not to give up on yourself
. There have been so many times throughout my short 27 years of life, that I have been discouraged and wanted to give up, but wouldn’t that be like the devil winning?
Do you know how
long it takes the average author to write a book?
About six months.
Do you know how
long it takes to create a new car?
Two to five years.
Do you know how long
it takes to create a new habit?
Approximately 18 to
254 days.
A few days ago, I
thought about quitting my dreams and goals of getting into shape, writing my
book, becoming a nurse onto an anesthesiologist…but then I saw my son looking
up to me. Trying to be like me and whenever I tell myself these negative
things, I remind myself of how proud of me I want him to be. I realize there
are tons of people out there who self-doubt, who criticize themselves so
harshly, and who give up. I have set up these steps to make sure I always push
through the hard times.
1.
Do one
thing everyday that works towards my goals/dreams!
2.
If I
start thinking negatively talk about it with someone that cares
3.
NEVER
FORGETWHO I am DOING IT FOR!
So, my dream of
getting in shape, becoming an author, and a nurse is still on the right path…I
am going to push through this negative drought that I was in.
I promise to you
guys that I will never give up. If January or February have been hard for you,
just know you are not ALONE. Do not punish yourself for the next 11 months
because of something you did not get right this time. START TODAY. Put things
into motion, take small steps, and keep pushing forward.
So, if it was you
or someone else that told you, you couldn’t do something just believe and KNOW
you can. Those people do not get to dictate your life for you.
Encouraging quote:
“She is clothed with strength & dignity and laughs without fear of the
future. “ – Proverbs 31:25
